A Record é foda!
A TV Record ganhou nesta quinta-feira (16) em Lausanne, na Suíça, o prêmio Olympic Golden Rings, que é oferecido pelo Comitê Olímpico Internacional (COI) às melhores coberturas de televisão dos Jogos Olímpicos.
Concorrendo com as principais emissoras de TV do mundo, entre elas a norte-americana NBC, a britânica BBC e a japonesa NHK, a Record ficou entre as três melhores na categoria Perfil de Atleta, por contar a história do patinador Florent Amodio, um dos participantes dos Jogos de Inverno de Vancouver, disputados em fevereiro deste ano.
Amodio é nascido no Brasil, em Sobral, no Ceará, mas representou a França, pois foi adotado ainda quando era bebê.
A reportagem, de Ana Paula Padrão e Mauro Wedekin, foi exibida no programa Domingo Espetacular. Durante 17 dias, a Record transmitiu a competição com exclusividade para o Brasil.
O Olympic Golden Rings é uma competição de prestígio internacional em que o Comitê Olímpico Internacional promove a excelência em transmissão televisiva dos eventos olímpicos. Nunca uma emissora brasileira recebeu o prêmio seja pela cobertura das Olímpiadas de Inverno ou de Verão.
- O prêmio não é só da Record, mas de todo povo brasileiro - afirmou Honorilton Goncalves da Costa, vice-presidente Artístico e de Programação, ao receber o troféu das autoridades do COI.
O reconhecimento internacional da cobertura feita pela Record dos Jogos de Inverno premia o que representou o surgimento de uma nova realidade na televisão brasileira, que até então não dava importância ao evento.
A Record enviou 80 profissionais ao Canadá e realizou uma extensa cobertura jornalística, o que aproximou o público brasileiro dos esportes de gelo e neve.
