Automotive Technician






As an ASE/NATEF Master Certified provider of technical education training, this program prepares students for the challenges of working on today's sophisticated and complex automobiles. Students learn all aspects of automotive repair and are provided with hands-on training in real-world shop environments using modern state of the art technologically advanced equipment and facilities. Students graduate with a Washington State Emission Certification and an ASE Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certificate. Students are provided the opportunity for ASE certification in Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Advanced Engine Diagnostics.

This course will teach shop safety, work habits, and the technical skills necessary to successfully pass some certification areas. Instruction and training will focus on Diesel Engines, Brakes, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and Preventive Maintenance. Exposure to Suspension and Steering, Drive Train, Air Conditioning and Hydraulics will also be included. The Heavy Equipment Mechanics program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). This demands a very exhaustive curriculum in specific areas of certification.
