Q&A: Why are some video games for the ps3 "copying prohibited"?

Question by Jaime P: Why are some video games for the ps3 "copying prohibited"?
I'm just curious why you can't copy games that are prohibited to copy game save data because this is annoying when you have to start all over again like Rainbow six vegas 2 and Resident evil 5... The question is why they do this and what's the point? Cuz many gamers who want to copy save data are complaining as well...

Answer by SPOOKFORCE (PSN)
Its because of the new trophy system for the Playstation Network (PSN)--if people were allowed to copy saved game data they could get get the data off someone who had already got 100% of the trophies and thus get the same trophies for their PSN instantaneously---without doing anything--not really fair.

Although I get where you're coming from---I was annoyed with some aspects of the new trophy system as well (i.e. even though I had finished a game 100%--the trophy patches came out and I have to redo whole game from the start to get any)
