So true! My apologies ytmeltman! Wanna tell us how you caught that detail?
And eggiex1 -- how did you figure out "Tizona"? I believe I posted "Nizona" because that's what it looked like to me. You watched the scene and could see a "T"?
Again, thanks to you both for the details - I love details like this that usually go unnoticed.
Being older, I don't have as good a handle on technology - I'd like to remember using "paint" for seeing details; I think I have that on my computer? Old vs. modern Spanish makes sense; I wondered about the difference in the inscriptions. Two posts ago, I wanted to add "l am 'like' Tizona" as a possibility, but hit the 500 limit. Point being, the scabbards of the sword encased in the Wiki pic and the TV sword are very similar. Another detail I love...
if a potintial immortal lived to be 100 years old, would they spend eternity like that or would they revert back to thier prime? and if one was 2 when it happened what then?
@jeb2368 We've seen this demonstrated. There are plenty of older imortals with grey hair and such, though likely not so old that they have arthritus or something. Likewise, we see child imortals but it is well known why they are killed quickly.
I imagine that the older immortals that we've seen on this show are spared the symptoms of arthritis (and other age related conditions) due to their healing factor.
I though that a potential immortal who hasn't suffered a violent death (which is the only way to trigger immortality) would live an ordinary human life, 85 years or so, and then die of old age, like a human.
@jeb2368 Well considering what happened to Kenny, the child Immortal, he would be the same age he was when he died first time, be that 1 or 100. For someone older, would think the same applies.
Even when John just wants to make some extra cash by putting out pop albums like Battle Studies, I'd still listen to it over any of the shitty music that's on the hot 100. I think he alternates albums haha. Room For Squares - masterpiece Heaver Things-cash maker. Contiuum-masterpiece Battle Studies- Cash maker.

@animeandgamefan Yes, but not completely true. She sings the harmony in the chorus as well ("Half of my heart...."). But you mostly notice she's there in the "... can't stop lovin' you...." refrain when she's echoing Mayer. Listen again. She's more involved than you realize! ;-)

ReplyDelete"Yo Soy La Tizona" is the inscription on the legendary sword of el Cid, the spanish folk hero.

ReplyDelete@GrllieLuvr Didn't you mean thumbs down?
ReplyDelete@GrllieLuvr If you didn't know it was Taylor Swift you wouldn't mind. I'm not a fan, but I think she works pretty well. Harmonies blend nicely.

ReplyDeletei know that but i rather hear her in this song then lady gaga 0_0
ReplyDelete@derbiester LMAO that made my day!
ReplyDeletelove john mayer and love this song it reminds me of me and my girlfriend
ReplyDeleteoh im so glad she didnt get a bigger part in this song
ReplyDeleteMayer is definitely smart to not let her sing more than she did...that would've put a stamp on his career that he wouldn't be able to get off.
ReplyDeleteHalf of my heart captured my whole heart. The phenomenal intro alone was reason enough for me to buy the album.
