Russia's sports car manufacturer Marussia Motors has taken a significant shareholding in Virgin Racing and plans to make it the basis of the first ever Russian team in Formula 1. The four-year deal was signed on Thursday night and, starting from next season, the team will be renamed Marussia Virgin Racing. One can now say with confidence that there's a Russian team in Formula 1," Nikolay Fomenko, president of Marussia Motors, told RIA-Novosti news agency. Marussia Motors was founded in 2007. They launched their first supercar at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and are now gearing up for full-scale production. RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

ReplyDeleteMarussia B1 and B2 look incredible, especially considering the cost - 100,000-117,000 Euro.
ReplyDeleteNow they need to work on its characteristics to make them maximum as possible.
Then we will have the first Russian supercar.
And more upcoming models (Marussia F1).
RT, how about Prohorov's Ё-мобиль? :)
Stop wasting money just to aid an industry that exploits people by getting them to buy into the idea that it it worth paying money to watch other people driving fast cars on private land!
ReplyDeletewow
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that all will be fine. The beginning is good.
ReplyDeleteThe field reporter looks like the walking definition of stress and bad hair day.
ReplyDeleteHere's what gonna happen: Renault will be saying bye bye to Petrov and Marussia will pick him up in place of DiGrassi so the Russian team is paired up with a Russian driver.
ReplyDeleteShouldnt the 1st step be being able to use the words "Super" , "Car" , and "Russia" in the same sentence before jumping to " Russia's supercar" ?
ReplyDelete@igorvasilevsky lol. Russia, assassination, and free speech, always go in the same sentence.
ReplyDeleteGood to see.
ReplyDelete@HalalKafir This is very possible for Marussia cars are equiped with Renault engines
ReplyDelete@artbasss But Virgin F1 are Cosworth powered and will remain so next year. Petrov only got the drive with Renault because he brought 15 mio. dollars in Russian sponsorship money. However, he hasn't really panned out as the #2 driver behind Kubica and if Renault want to become stronger as a team they'll need a better, more experienced driver. Virgin on the other hand is only 1 year old and still developing their team - Petrov would be under less pressure to perform there than at Renault.
ReplyDelete@artbasss They are equiped with Cosworth engines.
ReplyDeleteGo Marussia! Respects to Fomenko. Give'em a medal or something =)
ReplyDelete@igorvasilevsky lol my friends in Moscow say Russia is fucked up
ReplyDelete@FutureStudy my frend believe me russia is not fucked up ....
ReplyDelete@FutureStudy You sounds very very very obsessed.
