Q&A: What does the code "F1" mean on a Sunbeam heating pad?

Question by wookieballs: What does the code "F1" mean on a Sunbeam heating pad?
My heating pad started displaying the "F1" code and then shutting down. I can't find what "F1" means. Any ideas?

It may be "E", not "F". Given the context, it is most likely 'Error code 1'. There isn't much to a heating pad. The plug to the wall and the plug to the pad. If you've checked your connection to the pad and that's ok, there's likely a short in the heating wiring. Generally, you're not going to be able to fix that.

That's just my guessing. Go to Sunbeam's website and give them a call. They'll need your model number.
