How does "less government" and "more freedom" figure into brainwashing your kids with your beliefs?

Question by Viking Raider: How does "less government" and "more freedom" figure into brainwashing your kids with your beliefs?
The same group of people who seem to equate "less government" with "more freedom", seem to be the first to want to withold information and education from young people in favor of their own morality and religious upbringing. They are also the ones who seem to protest teachings of evolution and sex. They also seem to frown on independant and critical thought.

So how does brainwashing your kids and forcing them to believe what you believe, in any way shape or form make them, or society, free?

Please help me understand, I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

its difficult to hold some similar ideas as others within "groups" and not go into this mode of sharing ALL similar ideas/beliefs. this goes for either side of the coin. parents instinctively want to instill similar values in their children ((their egos of sorts)). if we thought there were a better way to "be", to think, we would choose that. we all think were right and we all want our kids to continue a tradition of our own design.

as for this specific sect of society, i think a lot of them do fall into the aforementioned trap. i dont know that they all are as adament about all the issues they are pro/against. but its kind of the nature of "group-think", and we cannot dispute the validity of some ideas/beliefs, even if we dont choose to subscribe to them. as for the evolution and sex protests, a lot more "liberal" ((the target group youre referring to)) parents are opposed to teaching evolution because it is often very biased in either direction by the instructors personal feelings. plus we are not taught other religions conflicting world views in most science classes. these are taught more objectively in classes like "world history", which accounts for all religions equally. but i think a lot more "liberals" are pro-sex ed. its a lot of the bible-beaters that would prefer to live happily in denial that the "promise" rings their kids take in 9th grade ((vow of celebacy til marriage)) will deter them from having sex at some point. sex is a real part of high school, and sometimes even middle school. so its realistic to teach early.

i totally see your point though; i think we all need to be a little more open-minded and accepting of varying views, even if they come from a nearly identical genetic clone.

Q&A: I want to enter my baby into some "cute baby contest" any offers that are not a scam?

Question by Chula: I want to enter my baby into some "cute baby contest" any offers that are not a scam?
My baby girl is now 9 months old but since She was a newborn people in the street and friends and family suggested me to enter her into some sort of contest for commercials or magazines. The only one I know about is "the great american photo contest" but I read online that it might be a scam.. Does anybody know of any other way to submit her picture into something legitimate?

They're all a scam!!! You pay money to put your kid's photo up and then you beg your relatives to vote and in the end someone wins 50 dollars while the site has earned hundreds of thousands. Just so thousands of parents can get a virtual pat on the back and reassurance that their kid is physically attractive.

Your daughter is beautiful and no site or contest could or SHOULD BE ABLE TO tell you otherwise.

Online PS2 games with the Startup Disk Built into them.

One of the questions I get the most on youtube is How do you get online with your PS2. Now there are plenty of videos showing you everything you'll need and how to hook it up. You need a PS2, a broadband internet connection with a cable modem, a PS2 network adapter (only if you have the fat PS2 model, because the slim model has the network adapter built into it), and most important, you'll need the Online Startup Disk which is required to setup your PS2's online connection. That can be a problem though, because there are a lot of factors that add up to your not having the startup disk. If you buy the system used, or the network adapter used, or you just lost your disk, it can leave you without a way to setup your PS2's online connection. Well, here is a list of the Online PS2 games that have the Startup Disk built into them. They allow you to add, or edit your connection in game, so they in fact negate the need for you having to hunt down an online startup disk. The games I've found are: Area 51 Battlefield 2 Call of Duty Finest Hour (Cod2: big Red One doesn't have it on the disk for some reason) Conflict: Global Terror Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Delta Force - Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre Warhammer 40000: Fire Warrior SOCOM: US Navy SEALs SOCOM II: US Navy SEALs SOCOM 3: US Navy SEALs Star Wars: Battlefront Star Wars: Battlefront II These are just games that I've discovered from my own personal collection, but there are probably more out there. I'm willing to bet that ...

Farrell California Hair Systems - Great Hair Systems That Blend Perfectly Into The Skin

It is true that Farrell California makes their own hair systems But did you know that the hair systems from Farrell California are also incredibly affordable? That's right, you can look your absolute best with a full head of your own natural hair and have the highest level of confidence you can ever remember having and you can have all of this while not overpaying for expensive monthly club fees and pricey salon appointments. That frees you up to worry about more important things, like what your plans are for Saturday night. How to spot a great hair system The most important part of any hair system is the hair line, you should look at the hair line to make sure it is invisible to the naked eye. On a properly made hair system the hair should get thicker gradually from the hair line. Most hair systems start at about fifty percent and go to eighty percent as the hair goes back from the hairline. Hair system base materials need to be thin and lightweight. If they are too thin they can wear out quickly. If they are too thick then they are too detectable to the touch. We will help you choose base materials that make sense for you and will give you the longevity you might expect our hand-crafted custom made hair systems that are comfortable and undetectable to both sight and touch in almost every circumstance. Men's hair systems for the discerning California man Take a look at the photos of actual Farrell California Hair Systems for men clients. These individuals are not professional models. These are real, untouched photos. You will notice that in each photo, the hairline is totally exposed. You will see close up and personal how Farrell California's totally natural-looking and undetectable hair systems virtually disappear on your skin, looking as if hair is growing right out of your head and allowing you to comb your hair straight back and expose Farrell California's signature hairline.Farrell California Hair Systems
