"I think it's going to be a classic midterm where the in-party is going to face losses; we just don't know how heavy the losses will be on the Democratic side."

Amy Walter is the editor in chief of the Hotline, Washington's premier daily briefing on American politics, and she writes her "On the Trail" column for the National Journal:
"The political environment is bad for Democrats. I don't expect it to get better. "It's going to be a tough year for Democrats especially on healthcare and the economy, the two most important issues. Both issues are almost completely out of the Democrats' control right now. There's going to be a lot of "wait-and-see."

why is that most pow wows are family run and it's those families that are the main contest winners at the end of the pow wow. why are the vendors just your average run of the mill people and most are not native at all. why aren't the tiny tots all winners instead of having 1,2,3places. these are just a few that i would like to know.

Question by Isabella: Has anyone heard about "good samaritan insurance" where people are asked to lend coverage to others?
I have just heard from someone that in California they are working on passing "good samaritan insurance" law that would enable anyone uninsured to borrow insurance from an insured person to get treatment. I have heard that Family Practitioners association is working on this with one of the senators. Is this true? Would'n the insureds' rates go up after it is used over and over? I have to pay a lot for my insurance on my own, and although my heart goes out to uninsured, I would not be able to pay more if my rates went up....would become one of them! If you have heard anything about it, please let me know.

Have not heard of it, but your observations sound correct to me, and such a scheme could never be a substitute for universal health coverage which is the government's job. Candidates always promote this kind of coverage; elected officials never act upon it.
