Universal Instruments Model 6796A DIP insertion machine

Universal Instruments Model 6796A DIP Insertion Machine. This fully automated machine is used to assemble printed circuit boards (PCB) by inserting the DIP packages in PCB. During the insertion process the machine also performs a cut and clinch operation by cutting all of the leads to a uniform length while bending to secure them to the PCB. The PCB is then ready for the next manufacturing process. The machine in this video was completely remanufactured by 4TECH Electronics in Detroit Michigan USA. 4TECH is an international supplier that specializes in the remanufacture and support of a variety of automated production equipment used in the Electronics industry to assemble printed circuit boards. The machines are completely remanufactured with a host of upgrades to improve performance, reliability, durability and ease of use. As a result they are at least equal and often superior to new machines and are warranted for one year (same as new) . This enables manufactures to purchase automated equipment comparable to used machine prices and avoid the risks and issues associated with used machines.
