"shall we go for a drive in my car?" or "shall we go driving in my car?" both of these are correct i think, but use the first one because it sounds better.
similar: "shall we go for a run?" "shall we go running?" again the first one sounds better. "shall we go running?" or "shall we go driving in my car?" makes it sound like you're confused, in my opinion.

There are only a few major cities in Wyoming, Cheyenne and Casper, Rock Springs, and Laramie. Jackson Hole as well.
And even the counties that those cities are in are still very rural once you get past the cities themselves.
Wyoming is 95% nature and rural.

It had the tags "manifestação, anti-bush, sao paulo"
It was basically this guy who looked to be in his early twenties, with a mohawk that was dyed orange. :] Well he was walking in front of a line of policemen holding shields (they're all fuzzy int he background), and he's looking directly at the camera.
I know it's a long shot that anyone's seen it, but it sort of really affected me, and I would give a lot to have a copy!!

I just saw a question that included a link to a Newsweek article about Bush wanting to use spy satellites for domestic surveillance. Incredibly, I saw a few posts from some conservatives who had no problem with this! Amazingly, many conservatives who complain about "big government" also find ways to excuse or rationalize domestic spying and other infringements on our civil liberties. Am I the only one here who sees this as self-contradictory?

And if you can't afford to treat your guests, then you change the plans to something more affordable, or don't call it a "party"?
Get-togethers for friends and going Dutch is great, no problem, but buying your own meal and drinks and someone else making reservations in an expensive restaurant does not constitute "putting on a party". Or is this just old fashioned thinking?
Sounds a bit like an entitlement problem that you feel you should be at a great restaurant, even though you can't afford it, and no one has offered to take you there.

It's more of putting on a "dinner arrangement". The problem is when they call it a party! It's not a party, it's a dinner meeting of friends.
I've been to loads of these in the past two years, and think it's okay - if I don't have enough $ to pay for dinner, I usually tell the host that I'll show up for dessert or an after-dinner drink.
I went to one last night - we all paid a flat rate for a shared banquet, and the hostess' dinner was paid for by her best friend. It was okay, but I prefer a party at someone's house definitely.
I've also been to dinners like this where everyone pitches in for the guest of honor's dinner/drinks.
The out to dinner plan is less social, as you're stuck sitting at a table talking to whoever is right next to you - and that can wear thin after the first 2 hours...and if the restaurant isn't any good, that's a downer.
I suppose people don't want the cooking/cleanup part of the party. I think this is fair enough. But they shouldn't be surprised if some of their friends can't come due to the $ of the dinner...or if they don't like the type of food at the restaurant.

"(The) Carioca" is a 1933 popular song with music by Vincent Youmans and lyrics by Edward Eliscu and Gus Kahn, as well as the name of the dance choreographed to it for the 1933 film Flying Down to Rio. It was sung in the film by Alice Gentle, Movita Castaneda and Etta Moten and danced by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers as part of an extended production dance number illustrating the ballroom dance.[1]:46,47 The dance, which was choreographed by the film's dance director, Dave Gould, assisted by Hermes Pan, was based on an earlier stage dance with the same name by Fanchon and Marco. The word "Carioca" refers to inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. Astaire and Roger's short dance has historical significance, as it was their first screen dance together. Though billed fourth and fifth, many felt they stole the film, which became a big hit for RKO. The song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 7th Academy Awards, but lost to an even bigger Astaire and Rogers production number, "The Continental" from The Gay Divorcee (1934), their next film together and their first starring vehicle. It's for a retail store. I don't want to put down too little and end getting paid less than I should but then I'm also afraid of putting down too much and them not hiring me because of it.
