If I buy a ps3 game online and then buy a new ps3 can I transfer the games from the old ps3 to the new one?

I'm renting a ps3 and I plan to buy a new one next week. Will I be able to put the games I've bought online onto the new ps3 or will I have to buy them again?

  1. As long as they are bought on Playstation store then all your downloads will be saved to your PSN account.

  3. depends. do you mean online from playstation network or online like amazon.com ect. either way yes you can transfer it. if you bought as disc online just save the data from your ps3 onto a usb memory stick and copy it to the new ps3 or if you bought a game from psn just redownload it from psn on yournew ps3. oh and some games are stingy and wont let you use a usb pen to copy games but as long as its not a EA or activision game it should be fine

  4. You could use the data transfer utility that is made for people who buy the slim and want to transfer all the stuff from the fat.
