Despite Y2K panic at the beginning of the decade, the first ten years of the new millennium proved that our fellow humans are much more dangerous than malfunctioning machines. Unprecedented terrorist attacks on American soil, followed by subsequent attacks around the world punctuated the 2000s. Climate change and unparalleled natural disasters killed hundreds of thousands. Not to mention the global economic meltdown. To finish it off, the world was scared to death by the swine flu pandemic the perfect end to a dreadful decade. In this video, www.WatchMojo.com reviews these and more milestones from the first decade of the new millennium.

One of my lecturers quoted this story from an article we were dicussing in the seminar. I found this story really interesting and thats why I am sharing it with you guys. Well in my opinion this is the most appropriate approach of defining the modern contemporary politics. The song is "I love you, I'll kill you" by Enigma (No copyright infringement intended)

ReplyDelete@MrConservativeTalk oh, you're not biased at all, "MrConservativeTalk"
ReplyDeleteWow...what a terrible decade.
ReplyDelete***COPY AND PASTE*** Call from the Big Guy (President Barack Obama)
ReplyDelete@Superflykid2008 I am 13 - I care a lot about last decade's political history.
ReplyDeleteDamn you, eggs benedict.
ReplyDelete@MrConservativeTalk It's funny how conservatives forget the last decade, and blame everything on Obama. The debt was at 11 trillion when he took office. It is currently at 13 trillion. How in the world is that doubling the deficit? I'm going to need to check your math. But dislike the president no matter what. But at least you shouldn't go around claiming he double the deficit. It shows you ignorance and that you are left wanting in the math department.
ReplyDelete@tatsujinMasurao Politically, 2000-2009 was the best political era that Americans lived through. George W Bush was a fantastic president that made everyone want to be republican. He would always put a smile on everyones face. Everything George W Bush did during the decade was perfect. 2000-2009 was a politicial victory for America!
ReplyDelete@ryanmshepard92 it was a great decade. think about it. George W Bush was president so 1. we had an inspiritational role model for a national leader. 2. we could openly endorse our republician views. 3. george w bush was always there when any help was needed and pretty much made the decade perfect when you think about it. he put a smile on every american's face. 2000-2009 was a win for America.
ReplyDelete@WestVirginiaRebel no, the 2000s were the greaest decade. George W Bush was republican.
ReplyDeleteAt least it is green era, except all th environmental scams
ReplyDeleteI am not seeing this decade becoming any better until around 2015, as we are recovering slowly from the recession that was the result of deregulation in the late 90's. Also Republicans(or some third party that will run as independent or republic as the ne trend is maybe the tea party and AP3 will run) will likely win the 2016 presedential election and republicans will take control of Congress. Hopefully we will finally get a next Clinton or Reagan type president.
ReplyDeleteLORD JESUS IS KING OF ALL WORLD!
ReplyDeleteThe 200s weren't the worst though. The 1910s were.
ReplyDelete@jandj402 As 2010 comes to a close.. i still feel like nothing has changed.
ReplyDeleteStatesman Ron Paul is one of the few leading men in the Nation who can lead the U.S. on the Wise & Prudent Path to American Strength.
ReplyDeleteWell, you almost got it all. There was the doughnut shop girl, Tai Pay. There was the divorce. There was the restraining order. Then came the letters, scrawled, like Franz Kline drawings, by my children, thank you, those were nice. Then there was the alleyway behind the most magical place on earth, where I picked up that hat, I'll never forget it; tossed aside in a muck covered pothole, put it on my head and found my true calling; I related.
ReplyDeleteThen came Obama, His attempt to bring the Nation out of it's Economic Hole, created the Tea Party that rejected Obama at every effort to ease America's Pain. Smart Obama marched on with success anyway. Many people ignored this because they felt that he should have fixed the Country overnight, ha,ha. It seems that Many Americans were under the influence of the Rich and Special Interest Groups; who wanted to control the Government for their own Agendas, to continue to Rob the country blind.
ReplyDeleteI think the 2010s in politics will be all about gay marriage. It's sickening. Gay people act like they're the only people who matter when their "issue" is NOT important at all. Gays are not persecuted as much as they would like to believe. They're just a bunch of divas who think the whole world should be gay with them. There are SO many more important issues that are life or death situations, yet these people want legal rights to fuck another dude's ass. Give me damn break.
