Is it legal for my employer to deduct money from my paycheck for "Shop and other help"?

Question by Chris Reopelle: Is it legal for my employer to deduct money from my paycheck for "Shop and other help"?
I work at an airport and my employer deducts roughly 8 dollars per paycheck under a category labeled "Shop and other help". Is this legal? If not, how and to whom do I report them?
I live in Washington State if that makes a difference.

Have you asked them what it is for? Do you have a uniform service or anything like that? Ask them exactly what you are paying for, and if you are not getting anything for that money ask if they can stop deducting it.
