How do you connect to a "computer to computer" wireless network?

Question by jimm120: How do you connect to a "computer to computer" wireless network?
I have noticed that whenever I search for wireless signals with my netbook, I get 2 or 3 wireless signals that say "Computer to Computer" wireless networks. It even lets you connect to it. But the internet still doesn't work.

How, exactly, do these types of wireless signals work?

The ones I always see are "Secretaria SEJ", "neolanusers", and "TEC"....at least at the place I work at there are those signals.

So, how do I actually get internet from these signals?

you cant these are adhoc signals usually from businesses for intracomputer data transfers

I can play EA sports games online using my PS2 but I can't connect to play other PS2 Online Games. Why?

Specifically, it appears that the games I am trying to connect with online use the Gamespy Network. Does this network require me to do something other than the general network configuration? Stumped.
I realize that there are companies that stop providing online services for their games. However, the games I am trying to play have just been released within the last few months. How can you find out if an online game is no longer supported?
