This is an excerpt from "Overview of America" produced by The John Birch Society. It is narrated by John McManus. The true American form of government was meant to be a constitutional republic not a democracy, or anything else. Democracy means mob rule. 51% of the people rule the other 49%. Video Rating: 4 / 5
yeah we get a oligarchy enforced by a democrats laws written to enslave the populace for the benefit of the few elite. " ever wish for a plague that only effected caviar ? i do
"Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others" – Ayn Rand.
would anarcy be the native indains there was no government there? and was it bad, they lived well for 100s if not thousands of years peacefully i know US history paints them otherwise, unless u go by the documents and dairies that was documented on how really the native indians lived written by christopher columbus and other schalors that documented their journey.
@dave19941000 Nazi/fascist are used erroneously as a slander to anyone to the right of liberal. This is the most accurate depiction of the political spectrum, not "parallelograms". China is also on the far left, although they are slowly creeping towards the right with capitalism. The US is creeping to the left with socialism.

@032125 In theory, perhaps. But anarchy has ALWAYS resulted in lawlessness. To believe it could be otherwise is as foolish as believing that communism would be wonderful "if only the right people were in charge". It's fantasy.
@19cjs67 well, anarchy is the belief that people can govern themselves with their own MORALS!!! IT works in small communities but i understand it can't work large scale. it isn't just mob rule like the video states
@19cjs67 I used that term because there are americans on the far right who call themselves anarchists or libertarians which, of course, they aren't. And, yes, the John Birch Society was and is fascist. Even most Republicans and conservatives-- who are not fascists--won't have anything to do with them.
@19cjs67 just asking not saying they were and i could see what u mean about tribal councils so u would say it would have been a republic then? just asking it doesnt really go into examples of anarcy. what would be an example of one?
@metalhead4311 I understand the idea. I agree that people can and should control their own lives. However, in a large society, some type of government is a necessary evil. Our founders felt this way, and that's why they established the "least evil" form of government, a republic. I also understand that it isn't automatically chaos, but historically, that's pretty much how it ends up, followed by tyranny. It is all good on paper, but quickly goes to hell in the real world.
@marinefrenzy You know, sadly, I have to agree. Regardless of party, our government HAS become more of an oligarchy. That's the natural progression, especially when the same people serve for 30 or 40 years. They accumulate too much power and influence. Funny, we have term limits on the presidency just for this reason, but haven't manage to enact term limits on Congress.
@TheForwardGaze Sorry, you're wrong. They plainly state they are for "personal freedom and limited government", hardly the beliefs of fascists. After viewing your home page, however, it's obvious that "fascist" is your general adjective for describing Republicans, especially those in the Tea Party. How you can equate someone with the belief in limited government and personal freedom as a fascist is beyond comprehension.
Personally I think the US constitution is one of the best and most well thought out documents ever written. The Danish constitution has many of the same parts, like freedom of religion, free speech, and quite a few limitations of what the government can do, though not as many as the US one has. I´m not quite sure where the Danish form of government falls in your catagorys. I would have said we had democracy, but majority is still subject to the law. Are we a republic then? I´m not sure :S
Those who contribute to our destruction by forcing democracy on us should pay attention. They, as well, will lose out if our Constitutional Republican form of government is destroyed!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!
@fubarnett You are correct. In fact, Jefferson dated his correspondence and documents with "in the year of our Lord Christ" going beyond the accepted "in the year of our Lord". The day after he wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptists which the left uses today as their mantra "separation of church and state", he was in church. Where was he in church? IN CONGRESS - those who doubt can look it up! Think about the implications of this and how it destroys the anti-Christ arguments of separation!
he mixed up chaos with anarchy!
ReplyDeleteAll this is hard to say but we will always live in someone rules, fact is it take a group to change the opinion of millions just to have power.
ReplyDeleteLeft-Anarchists don't believe in direct democracy. This is crude John Birch Society fascist propaganda.
ReplyDeletei am an anarchist. The anarchy thing is WRONG!!!!!!!

ReplyDelete@pete226 Not entirely accurate. Indians were not anarchists. They had tribal councils. They DID have governments of sorts.
ReplyDelete@metalhead4311 Really? Why don't you explain then?
ReplyDelete@TheForwardGaze "Left-anarchist" is an oxymoron. Can't be both. Funny how you validate my previous post about calling anyone to your right a fascist.

ReplyDelete@pete226 No, certainly not a republic. Quite frankly, I'm not well versed enough in American Indian practices to comment on how it all worked.
